Just Us?

We had a few leftover ears of corn so we chopped off the kernels to add to our dinner. Three little munchkins grabbed the stripped ears off the counter.

Next thing I know they are wandering through the house with these ears of corn munching away. What? Most people don't have corn cobs as a snack?

And he decides he needs to walk around listening to music all day. Oh the transition to a middle schooler has begun. Am I ready? It really doesn't matter, the ride is starting either way!

Sore

Just as anticipated, Zane is very sore today. I don't think I have seen him be so snugly with me in a very long time. It is ok. I will take it. Just a blink and a half ago he was the same size as Ollie all snuggled up in my lap.

Braces!

We have been checking in with the orthodontist for the two oldest boys this last year and this week he informed me that now was the time to start working on correcting Zane's cross bite. This should be a quick trip with braces. He still has lots of baby teeth and he very well could require braces later as a teen but for now we are stopping the wear that is happening on his teeth. He was a trooper and insisted on Seahawk colors for his bands. Die hard fan!

Happy 11th Birthday Andrew!

 Andrew celebrated his 11th birthday with a pizza party and some roller skating. He was very thrilled to get presents and spend time with good friends from school and church.

 He has one very excited face throughout his present opening pictures, LOL. It was fun to watch him open his stuff. He is so thrilled with it all.

 Eric and Ollie chose not to skate but the rest of us tried to tear up the floor with our mad skills. We hit the floor a few times so I know we left our mark.

 Reid was like a baby deer on skates and Gwen is just a beast. That girl never EVER gives up. She is amazingly stubborn and did not want anyone to hold her hand or skate with her. I am not sure she even took a break from the skating. It was one very sweaty hot girl by the time we were done.

 Happy 11th birthday Andrew! I am so excited to see what the coming year brings!

90+

We hit an unusual 90 degrees and it was glorious weather for breaking out the new pool!

 The favorite game is running and jumping in the pool and yelling. That is all it takes to keep them amused for hours when it is hot. So very nice!
