Elmo Makes Music Part 2

Elmo Makes Music was a success! The kids had a great time and the show was very cute! We ended up with awesome seats in the front row (thank you Andrew!) and Telly Monster even came up and patted Zane on the head. Most shocking is that Zane didn't cry at Telly Monster, he smiled and liked it! Zane spent almost the whole show yelling Elmo when he saw him but that was not unlike every other little one there. I must admit that when the show started Zane burst into tears because there was clapping and cheering but within the first 5 minutes he had calmed down and sat back (very firmly on his daddy's lap) and enjoyed the show. It gives me hope because we are thinking about a trip to DisneyLand next year and I was a little concerned that he would panic when he saw the characters. Andrew was a little less sure about having Telly touch him but I think he thought it was cool he came up close.

The pictures I took of the show are all kinda blurry but at least I can give you an idea what it looked like.

Elmo Makes Music

My Andrew has won us tickets to go and see Elmo Makes Music at the Everett Events Center. He had to color a picture (which was returned and now you are looking at) and turn it in to the local paper. He was chosen as a winner and now we get to go to the fun show! I think that both boys will enjoy the show, I hope that Zane will not be scared, he has a tendancy to cry when there is cheering and clapping. Zane does love Elmo though! It is one of the few words he says that is completely intelligable! We'll keep you posted on how the show is!

Aquasox and Fireworks

We attended the opening night of the Aquasox on Tuesday! The game was awesome and we had a great time. I think that we have created a monster with Andrew though. We got to the game and immediately he wanted a snack. You see, about a year ago we attended a Mariners game with Grandpa and Grandma Meow and they bought my little one some ice cream. Apparently that is now the highlight of attending ball games, you get snacks. So, not to be outdone we ended up getting pizza, red rope, popcorn and some pop. Totally spoiled little boy!

I am totally bummed because I forgot my camera. This was supposed to be a cool post with very cool baseball type pictures, oh well, maybe next time!

4:15 am

Zane was awake at 4:15 this morning. I think he had kicked his covers off and was cold. I don't know for sure because I didn't go and look at him. I just laid in bed and prayed that he would somehow fall back asleep! He eventually did around 5:30 but not before waking up his brother who is by far much more difficult to convince to go back to sleep once awake! Andrew came and laid in bed with me while I tried to go back to sleep myself until about 6:30 when he wanted to get up and watch some cartoons. He did while I slept some more. By the time we all were up it was close to 9:00 but Zane has been super crabby all morning and it is all his fault that we were awake in the first place! Ridiculous!!! At least Eric had to stay late for work this morning because somehow, someway all this would have been his fault if he had been home! Let me tell you, he really dodged a bullet of Sammy crabbiness on that one!

A New Type of Blessing

Our family seems to be multiplying exponentially! We will be hosting a exchange student from Hong Kong starting in September (or maybe the end of August) all the way until the middle of June. Her name is Crystal and she will be attending the local high school! We are so excited to have her join our family and hope to have all of you come and meet her at one time or another!

New Baby Blessing

Extra! Extra! Read ALL ABOUT IT!!! We are officailly adding a new little blessing to our family with an estimated arrival date of January 17th, 2008. We are all very excited about this new little one and very relieved to find out that Sam's nausea was not for nothing. For those of you out there who are ultrasound inept let me try and explain what you are looking at.

In between the two crossbars you will see a little white light. That is the heart beat. As you only see one white light you can correctly conclude there is only one baby. (Thank you Jesus! I did not want twins) Also, not that I could tell just from the picture but according to the ARNP that I saw today who did the test, the head is at the bottom crossbar while to end of the tail bone is at the top cross bar. All very exciting! We will keep you posted on all the new developements as they progress!

Banks Lake

We went camping at Banks Lake in Eastern Wahington this weekend and had a great time. The weather was hot and dry, but it was perfect weather for camping. The weekend started out a bit rough though. First off it was a 4 hour drive over to the camp site which normally wouldn't be so bad but since I have all day sickness that makes me just want to up and die the ride was not so fun. Note to all you who are planning on having kiddos someday, if you have morning sickness then motion sickness is right behind! Anyway, we get to the campsite finally and check in. Eric gets a map to our specific site (the place we went to had about 300 camp sites) and we start to set up camp. All is going well until Eric spooks a snake on his way back to the car. This snake was big and brown and ugly (I think all snakes are ugly though) but it did not have a rattle on it so after having a momentary panic I pulled myself together and continue to set up camp. Two trips to the car later Eric spooks another snake and this time we both clearly saw a rattle attached to the end of it. That was it for Sam. Apparently I am completely terrified of snakes and have no tolerence, this is not something you can dsetermine until you are face to face with a snake and see what your response is. I immediately started to hyperventalate and sob in a full fledged panic attack. (Not one of my finer moments) The kids however thought that the idea of a snake was really cool and they wanted to go and take a closer look. Eric wisely took one look at me and said, "Do you want me to see if we can rent a cabin?" That was met with a hearty YES! and the end result was that we stayed in a cabin rather than the tent. Andrew was upset, He really wanted to go tent camping, but he got over it. The cabin we rented was cool and had air conditioning and power but no running water. That was fine with me as long as it was snake free!

After the whole snake incident, it was time to meet up with the people from Eric's work we were there with. They had all rented houses complete with showers, kitchen and comfy beds. Eating at there place took place a lot. The first night we ended up playing Guesstures which is a fun game and Eric and I rocked at it! Finally a game that we can play together without jeopordizing our marriage! Andrew even got into it and mimed out some stuff for us to guess. It was a lot of fun.

The next day we spent at the beach. Steve and Jen had brought there boat over and they ferried us all to a beach at was super shallow for like 100 feet. Perfect for little boys to play in without Eric and I being nervous the whole time. Andrew and Eric also went intertubing behind the boat and Andrew loved it! I was surprised. I thought it might scare him but he was really excited about it and going with daddy was lots of fun! Anyway, later that night we went to see the laser light show at Grand Coulee Dam. That was pretty cool. Andrew and I really liked it, Zane fell asleep.

Next morning we just packed up for the long 4 hour drive home. Once again sickness caught up with me but I made it. Just no more road trips until this first trimester junk is over with! I wish that I had remembered to take some pictures but oh well! I don't think a snake picture would be what you wanted to see anyway!
