Lucy's Kindergarten Graduation

The little crew and I went to go watch Lucy's kindergarten graduation and it was so sweet! It is so hard to believe that she is almost finished with the year and ready to go into first grade in the fall!

Lucy was very unsure about going through with graduation today. She informed me she loves kindergarten and half days. Smart girl. I think we would all agree that half days are better!

Once it was all done though she was all smiles and so excited to show off her classroom and her work. And eat cake and drink punch. This year of hard work was definitely worth celebrating!

Family Movie Time!

It was a mellow afternoon and we sat down to watch a movie on tv. The kids ate some popcorn and the little boys played with daddy on the couch.

Reid didn't want to open his eyes for me. I only caught the one with his eyes open. He was being a total turkey.

Kids all zoned out watching the Smurfs. I played on Facebook and just enjoyed the peace.

Can I just say that big kids playing with younger siblings is one of the greatest joys there is in life? Because it really is. They don't always get along and there are plenty of times where they get on each others nerves but more often than not they are buddies and so sweet to each other.

It is one of the things that makes my heart swell with joy and pride and love for these special people I have been blessed with.

Taking Care of Baby Brother

Reid decided he needed to feed Ollie a yogurt for dinner. Ollie was more than happy to have his big brother take care of him.

These two have a very interesting relationship. I think they are going to be buddies. Possibly partners in crime together. Currently Reid is REALLY used to being the baby in the house so it is harder for him to put on the big brother hat. It will come and I will probably realize it was much easier when they were both jockeying for baby status.

Irresistible

Eric was eating a root beer float tonight and he got a very adorable friend. Ollie was working the charm for Eric. Overtime.

I asked Eric if he could say no to a face like that. NOPE he said.

This imp face is completely irresistible.

I would like to see the person who would say no to him.

A Reid Update

Reid had an appointment with the allergist to check on how he is doing and find out the results of his most recent inflammation marker test. I am very happy to announce that all of Reid's inflammation numbers are back to normal level and it seems that we have conquered the yeast problem in his intestines. It is astounding to me that his levels went from 37 to less than .5, normal is under 6 (can I remember what the level is for? I cannot) and the other level went from 130 to 16, with the normal levels being under 60. So we are moving from all of the anti-fungal supplements to supplements that promote gut health to finish healing up his hydro-permable (aka leaky) gut.

We talked about how Reid's reactions to wheat seem to be getting less severe when he 'accidentally' gets wheat. There have been instances when someone has given him a graham cracker or he has eaten a cupcake off the counter without our knowledge. This is excellent news! The doctor feel like he may make a full recovery and eventually reintroduce all of his sensitivity foods back into his normal diet. In fact we are to start sparingly reintroducing the foods with the lesser reactions next month. I am very excited to return to this stage. After discussing Reid's dairy allergy we both agreed that he will likely never be able to tolerate dairy. Honestly that is ok. He is fine without it and totally content not having it. The few substitutions we have to make to accommodate this allergen seem like nothing after dealing with wheat! Hooray for a healthy improving boy.

Lucy's Science Fair

Lucy is so proud of her science fair project board. We talked though the project and steps so she can tell her class how to make Elephant toothpaste. It was a fun project to do with my girl. She did all the gluing and I did all the typing of what she said we did. A very simple distribution of tasks. Much better than making her do the typing!

Chunk-licious

I love me a chunky baby. And Ollie has delicious thunder thighs that go on for days. He is so perfectly tubby and adorable.

 I never got a fully good picture of how roly-poly his legs were but I think these do a fair job showing it. He is plumper than all of my babies except Zane. And he is an eater too. Much like Zane.
