Season 2 of Thursday Adventures!

Another summer of Thursday Adventures has arrived! Grandma Meow has graciously agreed to accompany me on this excursions making them infinitely more possible than if I was trying to do it all on my own.

Our first stop this year was the Seattle Aquarium. The kids really enjoy the tide pool areas. Lucy as always was thrilled to touch everything in the pools. She loves these tiny creatures that disappear when you touch them. She says they are playing hide and seek.

Reid and Gwen were a bit more cautious. Gwen did touch a couple of things in the water but there was no convincing Reid that it was ok to touch.

We checked out the ring of jelly fish. That thing is absolutely mesmerizing.

The aquarium had this fun search game with the fish this time around. They had cards that you took into the tropical fish area and tried to find the fish on your card. When you found one then you brought the card back and got a stamp. My kids loved it. It made the tanks much more exciting to them.

We also got to check out the new harbor seal exhibit. It was really nice with much better viewing. The seals were busy sunning themselves as well as wrestling and swimming.

Mr. Oliver did great on his first Thursday Adventure! He was happy as could be in the stroller. Other than eating a few times and needing a diaper change he was no extra work at all. It was a great day. So excited for the rest of our excursions this summer.
