Today Eric and Andrew went out to Smithbrook (Stevens Pass area) to build a snow fort with our friend Travis and a ton of his buddies. Andrew was very excited to have an excuse to go use his snowshoes and to spend some quality time with Eric. Eric was excited to get out into the great outdoors and building a snow fort sounded like fun.
Apparently Andrew was quite a hit with the girls that came to help build the fort too. I heard a lot about playing freeze tag and some story about a girl getting all goofy while talking to him. Terribly cute!
The guys got home around 6:30 this evening. Traffic was bad and they were super tired. I guess these snow forts are actually something you can sleep overnight in. They heat up to about 60 degrees inside. Now I won't worry so much when Eric goes snowshoeing by himself. I will trust that he can build a fort to save himself! All in all an awesome and fun day of daddy/son bonding!

did he tell you which girl was goofy? My guess is Audrey....
Eric thinks it was Audrey but he is not sure. Apparently Travis totally called her on it and she denied it but in a way that left no doubt she was acting goofy for a boy. Is Audrey Andrew's same age?
So fun! It is great that Andrew got some special Daddy time! I am amazed that the things get that warm. 60 Degrees!
They did have a good time for sure. Andrew loves the outdoors stuff and Eric is thrilled to have a buddy. Andrew never complains about the cold or wet he just has a good time. It is funny how much he is like Eric that way. I am the biggest baby about that type of stuff!
It would be Audrey, but Travis didn't remember calling anyone out about being goofy around Andrew. So who knows. But Audrey is all about the boys and is always goofy. She is in 1st grade. 6 years old.
Oh and after looking at the loaded photos, and laughing at Andrew, Travis stated, that you have trained that kid to have CHEESE face everytime he sees a camera. Sure enough Cheesy they are.
